On Tuesday I had to pick one of the famous umbrellas at my university. These were very unique and interesting creations of previous students at Epoka. I chose mine and I had to take it home with me.
On Wednesday morning, along with other students I was asked to be at "The Cloud".
I had heard of the famous structure designed by Sou Fujimoto, but I had never seen it up close. After completing the first task on set, I was asked to take a picture of my umbrella. Its orientation and position was up to me to decide. I had to use that image for my first real assignment; choosing three parts from it to create a new one. I took many pictures of the umbrella, but none really pleased me. So I thought of doing something different, and photographing the umbrella on the ground. Because I needed something else, something more exciting, as well as something I could work with, I included the two tiles into my photo.
This is the final photo. Even though I had to destroy it, and make something out of it, it still seems like an interesting photo to me.
Don't forget to check out The Cloud.
