In this assignment we had to use the shapes of the tangram once again. But this time we had to choose one of them and color it red.
To begin with, I chose the square as my red shape, because it looks a lot bolder, so I feel like it would attract more attention. But another reason is that I prefer working with this shape, and I usually start my compositions, by dividing the canvas into imaginary squares. The shapes are put in a way to reflect this. I tried to align the shapes as well, so that you could envision some lines in the composition. I decided not to put the red squares very close to each other, because I didn't want to attract the attention of the viewer in only one spot.
I am still not one hundred percent satisfied with my design, especially because I had to use a limited number of elements and I have not used all the space efficiently. Also the white background is not completely part of the composition.
