In class we had to create a small unit, made of three elements, a quarter circle, a square and a triangle. We had to overlap them. After coming up with our unit, we had to make a pattern by repeating it, in an allover design.

After I created some variations of the unit, I chose a final one to use in my pattern. I thought of combining the exact units to create circles and squares. So as seen in the photo, I created my pattern. The white background complements the black rectangular shape that is formed by the combination of the squares of two units, in my opinion. And the circle serves the greatest role in the pattern. Overall I feel like my pattern is not entirely bad, but it still is just repetitive and lacks excitement. It looks a bit dull to me.
